Painting of seahorses

Monday 11th January 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Sea Horse” mixed media on canvas.
 Gorgeous workshop where the children learn how to draw sea horses before reproducing them on a canvas. Lots of creative scope with fun background techniques and some shells and sea weed unique to each student.- Basia

Tuesday 12th January 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 4,5 and 6.

 

“Under the sea”, acrylic on canvas.
Fabulous creative opportunity with multiple learning experiences and layers.  Our older students will learn “painting towards lights” and enjoy the freedom of creating a magnificent bed of corals, using a gorgeous palette of colour. The dolphins will be painted as silhouettes against the light source. – Julia.

Painting of the Harbour

Wednesday 13th January 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Sydney Harbour”. mixed media framed artwork
Our young artists love mixed media, they love the variety, they are engaged all day and their creativity is allowed to unfold as they paint, cut, collage, spray and draw. Sydney Harbour is a wonderful subject  and students will piece together the landscape as they consider colours, different medium application and composition. They will take home a framed artwork to be proud of.  Book early for this popular workshop!- Julia

Painting of dream catcher

Thursday 14th January 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 4,5 and 6.

“Dream Catcher and Dragonflies”, painting on Canvas.

Our older students loved a dream catcher with dragonflies I painted last year and I promised I would teach it. So here it is! The processes involved, include a special background ,  “finding feather shapes” in the drips created using a lovely technique and then the opalescent dragonflies. Each painting will be unique.- Basia

Abstract painting

Monday 18th January 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 1,2 and 3.

“Abstraction of circles”, mixed media on Canvas.

This workshops allows for endless creativity in colour choices, circle sizes, the placement of their circles and ultimately, creating a pattern of circles, which will be decorated by the students, using personal choice of pattern and design. This is an engaging and at the same time relaxing workshop, with a very pleasing result.- Basia

For children in years 4,5 and 6.

“Pineapple off the edge “, painting on Canvas.

Our older group absolutely love these “off the edge” paintings and what better  summery fruit then the pineapple.

The pineapple looks deceptively simple! Our students have to really concentrate to create the well balanced markings on the canvas, which will be painted on a background colour of their choice. Lots of skills but always great results. – Julia

Wednesday 20th January 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 1,2 and 3.

“Beach Scene”, air drying clay slab pot

  Our students absolutely love working with clay! It is relaxing and yet at the same time they have to concentrate to produce their great results.  There is lots of scope for unique creativity when making their beach scene in relief and then painting to finish the artwork . – Julia

For children in years 3,4 and 5.

“Self Portrait”, in air drying clay.

 Self portraits are an integral part of building skills in art.  Our students will  draw self portraits from a couple of angles before building their clay self portraits learning clay building techniques using an armature which will result in a great, three dimensional sculpture of themselves to take home. – Julia
