painting of boatsTuesday 7th April, 9 am – 3 pm, for children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Sailing Boats at Balmoral Beach” Painting on Canvas:
 All our students love painting! This workshop focuses on considering perspective and the order of painting to create a landscape. Lovely new techniques are introduced in this workshop such as sponging techniques and learning how to paint water reflection, this will be a gorgeous seascape to take home at the end of the day .

Clay potWednesday 8th April 9 am – 3 pm, for children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Autumn”, Paper Clay Pot :
Clay is the most satisfying medium for children. They just love it. It is tactile and very relaxing for them as we go through the process of working the clay into a slab, then forming the pot and decorating with a special clay relief   technique painting lightly with watercolour tints to bring out the surface texture. We use paper clay so that the creation can be taken home on the day and air dried to a hard finished artwork. – Julia

rabbit sculptureThursday 9th April, 9 am – 3 pm, for children in years 4,  5 and 6.

“Rabbit “, Paper Clay Sculpture :
He is irresistible and a challenge to create, however, older students enjoy the challenge and of course love creating sculptural pieces from clay. Our students will learn how to make an armature for the base and will be taught how to build up the form of the rabbit. Gaining an understanding of how to work with paper clay as a sculptural medium. So many skills! Huge skill based learning. – Julia

landscape paintingFriday 10th April 9 am- 3 pm for children in years 1,2 and 3.

“Naïve Landscape”, Painting on Canvas:
A riot of colours with lots of scope for individuality in this fun workshop. The landscape is pure fantasy, allowing the children a wide choice of colours and at the same time fine tuning their brush skills and design. – Basia

Mixed Media paintingMonday 13th April, 9 am- 3 pm, for children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Autumn Leaves” Mixed Media on Canvas:

Fabulous mixed media workshop, utilizing a wide range of techniques including, design, colour choices, sponging, painting and printing using real leaves. Very creative Autumn workshop with scope for unique art works. – Julia

Autumn leaves photo Tuesday 14th April, 9 am -3 pm, for children in years 4, 5 and 6.

 “Off The Edge”  Painting on Canvas:

“Off The Edge” painting is the one which our older students absolutely love! They have to make several design decisions and learn a multitude of painting skills.  Autumn leaves will be their inspiration and each canvas is always so unique. -Julia

painting of tree and flowers Wednesday 15th April, 9 am – 3 pm, for children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Stylized Trees and Flowers” Painting on Canvas:

Our young students have been asking for flowers and this is a really fun workshop to introduce the painting of flowers.  There is so much scope to personalize the flowers, using patterns and colours. I highly recommend this vibrant workshop.- Basia.

prints of butterflysThursday 16th April, 9 am – 3 pm, for children in years 4, 5 and 6.

“Butterfly’s” Mixed Media Printmaking:


We like to challenge the older group and there are many aspects to this workshop, including design, creating their printing plates, collage and the actual print making which make it quite challenging. The students will create five prints and the best three prints will be framed to take home. – Julia

paper flowers Friday 17th April, 9 am – 3 pm, for children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Flower Pot” Paper Clay and Paper Flowers:

With Easter holidays an Easter inspired flower pot seemed the ideal offering. This kind of working with clay is similar to a slab pot, formed and built around an armature to hold gorgeous hand made paper flowers. A really fun workshops with loads of new techniques to learn. – Julia
