For children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Abstract spring flowers and circles” on canvas
The young artists will have so much fun creating this spring inspired painting.
A lot of flexibility in colour choices and lessons in colour mixing with a gorgeous artwork  to take home. – Basia.

Beach landscapeTuesday 22nd September 9 am – 3 pm,
For children in years 4, 5 and 6.

“watercolour landscape painting of Balmoral Beach”, framed artwork,
New skills, honing in on drawing a true representation  from photograph and learning the layers in developing a landscape.
Our artists will learn lots of new skills, including composition, watercolour and ink pens during this great workshop.

“Magical Unicorn” framed artwork,
We asked the children what they would  like to paint and this charming painting of a unicorn was designed in response.
Lots of scope for design, drawing and watercolour painting, all of which our young artists love. – Julia.

Painting of fruitThursday 24th September 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 4, 5 and 6.

“Folk Art style basket of fruit” on canvas.
This is a wonderful lesson, using bright colours on top of an underpinning of gold paint to make the fruit “pop”

” Cat” watercolour framed artwork, 
The children also requested a cat painting.
We will be using lots of fun layers, including their own unique design “wax resist” background.
They will learn how to draw their own choice of cat and will use watercolours and ink pens.

“Australian spring flowers”, framed watercolour
This is a really lovely workshop. It is an introduction to botanical illustration. We will be using watercolours and developing drawing skills.
The workshop is taken step by learning step,for the children to understand how to illustrate. -Julia

For children in years 4, 5 and 6.

“Off the edge Magnolia” on canvas.
Our older group absolutely love these “off the edge” paintings and what better topic than one of the first spring flowers, the magnolia.

For children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Peacock”, on canvas.
If the children have as much fun as I had painting the prototype, they will have a great day of painting.
This painting has several layers, practicing using skinny brush for the line work, and gold and silver for fun.- Basia.

Kookaburra sculpture Thursday 1st October, 9 am – 3 pm.
For children in years 4,5 and 6.

“Kookaburra” Drawing and sculpture in air drying clay.
All our students love working with air drying clay and Julia saves this workshop  to the end so they can really enjoy the tactile experience of building a sculpture.
The artists begin with a drawing lesson which they translate to clay.The children learn techniques unique to this medium. -Julia.

Sculpture of a wombatFriday 2nd October, 9 am – 3 pm.

“Wombat” drawing and sculpture in air drying clay
Our day starts with a drawing lesson, looking at the wombat from different angles.
Our younger students will be building up a sculpture of a wombat,
starting with an armature which will support the structure of the clay.
A great workshop to finish off our spring 2015 workshops.
