“Vegetable Print Making”,  acrylic on canvas.
 Our younger groups love this multi-layered print making experience using a variety of vegetables. It is one of our favorite workshops, always resulting with a nice artwork to take home. – Basia.

Two people skiingTuesday 28th June, 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 4,5 and 6.

“Snow Scene with Skiers”, acrylic on canvas.
Julia will take the students, step by step, teaching several techniques, to achieve a gorgeous result inspired by a visit to the ski slopes. Students will respond to pictures with drawing and then painting. – Julia.

For children in years 1, 2 and 3.

“Picasso inspired Abstract”, acrylic on canvas.
I love teaching this workshop, it challenges the students and each artwork is unique, as the students turn their work around, in response to a still life setting. – Basia.

“Off the edge”, Lemons, Acrylic painting on canvas.
There is a very high level of skills and achievement in Julia’s exciting “off the edge” series. The lemons are cut, to show another aspect and the children use a viewfinder to capture their own “Off the edge composition. – Julia.

Clay SculptureFriday 1st July 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 1,2 and 3.

“Street Scene”, Slab pot in air drying clay.

On the last day of the week, our students can immerse themselves in the tactile experience of clay, creating a gorgeous street scene on a clay slab. They are kept very busy but are always thrilled with their results. – Julia.

“Framed Portrait” pastels on paper, collage.

Portraits are a marvelous learning experience, no matter how often the children create them,  and they just love them. Pastels will be a new experience for the children with collage, we expect some wonderful results, – Julia.

“Freda Khalo inspired self-portrait, with Australian Flora and Fauna”,  acrylic painting on canvas.

The students will love painting their own portraits, inspired by Freda Khalo. She always used flowers, shells, combs and the children can be very creative adding some Australian flora and fauna to their portraits. – Julia.

“Aboriginal inspired painting of hands”, acrylic painting on canvas.

We have a wonderful cultural resource of unique Aboriginal art in Australia and we love to inspire the children with this resource. The children will have some choice about placement of their hands, creating lovely unique works. – Basia.

FlowersThursday 7th July 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 4,5 and 6.

“Flowers ”, framed water-colour and ink on paper.

Our older students respond well to a challenge. The combination of drawing and then painting in watercolour and ink is a lovely style  to learn for vibrant painterly sketches this workshop offers several new skills for the students to master. – Julia.

snowflake paintingFriday 8th July 9 am- 3 pm.For children in years 1,2 and 3.

“Snowflakes”, Acrylic on canvas

We finish the week with beautiful snowflakes suspended in squares which the children will make using stenciling and sponging techniques to start off with for gorgeous backgrounds. I look forward to teaching this workshop and creating unique snow flake patterns with the students. – Julia.

“winter ”, framed watercolour  on paper.

A beautiful water colour workshop of winter colours.  The students will paint 4 images, a leaf, a tree a landscape and an abstract. A full day of drawing and painting techniques, masterpieces will be mounted in a handmade four sided A-Frame. – Julia

“Off the Edge, Red Onion” acrylic on canvas.

Using a real onion, cut to reveal the wonderful patterns, and our students arrange their onions to create paintings, which are all individually unique using “off the edge” compositions. – Julia.

Thursday 14th July 9 am- 3 pm.
For children in years 4,5 and 6.

“Matisse inspired, Australian Winter”, acrylic on canvas.

Our older students have to consider design aspects and work carefully to create their gorgeous artworks. The students will learn new skills, in stenciling and sponging as they accomplish the multi layered artworks.- Julia.
